Fox Personnel have been appointed by one of our customers to assist with recruitment for a Steel Fabricator. This is a temporary position with the potential to develop into a long-term/permanent role for the right candidate.
We're looking for a skilled Steel Fabricator to join a busy production workshop. This is a hands-on role covering welding, grinding/fettling, and steel component preparation, with the flexibility to assist across timber and dispatch departments as needed.
You'll report to the Team Leader and work closely with Dispatch Officers, the Production Coordinator, Stainless & Steel Fabricators, Trades Assistants, Fettlers, Moulders, and Timber Processors.
Key Responsibilities
Follow steel fabrication instructions given by the Team Leader
Complete welding tasks as assigned
Complete grinding/fettling work as required, with some casting work
Assist in the timber and dispatch departments as required
Prepare steel component parts, including cutting, folding,



and/or drilling to instructions
Liaise with the Team Leader on schedules of steel fabricated products and general workshop projects
Ensure all orders are fulfilled to detailed specifications
Complete Works Order sheets as required
Maintain a clean and protected working workplace
Ensure all duties are carried out in a secure manner
Follow all relevant Quality Assurance and Work Instructions according to the Company's Quality System
Maintain all records as required
Role Requirements
Sound understanding and interpretation of engineering specifications and drawings
Additional information
