The purpose of this position is to assist the palliative care team at St John of God Murdoch Hospital and Hospice, to manage complex cancer and non-cancer pain in the palliative care setting, by providing specialist advice on the management of acute and chronic pain.
The position will require working collaboratively with our Learning and Development team to
Ensure policies, procedures and protocols for analgesics used in the palliative care setting are up to date and evidenced based. Provide ongoing education on complex pain management to the multi-disciplinary palliative care team.
This position will also require working collaboratively with the Palliative Care Physicians to assist in the management of complex pain both in a consultatory capacity and in liaison with the Acute Pain Service at St John of God Murdoch if an intervention is required.
