Senior Bookkeeper / Accountant

Our client is a well-established and growing business seeking an experienced
Bookkeeper / Accountant
to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for either a full-time or part‐time role within a supportive and skilled workplace.
The successful candidate will play a key role in managing the day-to-day financial operations of the business while also providing payroll, HR administration and compliance support.
About the Role
As the Bookkeeper / Accountant, you will be responsible for:
Managing daily bookkeeping and accounting functions.
Processing end‐to‐end payroll accurately in accordance with relevant awards and pay rates.
Interpreting and applying union pay rates and conditions, particularly the
CFMEU Award
.
Assisting with HR administration, including maintaining employee records and supporting general HR processes.
Maintaining CM3 compliance documentation and ensuring compliance requirements are met.
Preparing financial reports and assisting with other accounting functions.
Providing general administrative support as required.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
A minimum of
4–5 years' experience
in bookkeeping or accounting.
Demonstrated experience processing payroll and interpreting modern awards.
Strong knowledge of
CFMEU pay rates and employment conditions
(highly regarded).
Previous HR administration experience (preferred).
Experience with
CM3
or similar contractor compliance systems.
Excellent organisational and time management skills.
High attention to detail with strong accuracy.
The ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
Strong communication and problem‐solving skills.
