We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Fitter and Turner to join our client's team. This role is focused on delivering high-quality machine maintenance and repairs at customer sites, alongside operating lathes and milling machines to fabricate custom parts and fittings. The ideal candidate will have a solid technical background, excellent customer service skills, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of workmanship.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform machine maintenance and repairs at customer premises, ensuring top-notch quality and efficiency.
Operate lathes and milling machines in office to produce precise parts and fittings based on customer specifications.
Provide expert advice to clients, maintaining a customer-first approach in all interactions.
Complete all tasks with a strong focus on safety, quality, and efficiency.
Key Requirements:
Trade qualification as a Fitter and Turner.
Minimum 2 years of post-apprenticeship experience in a similar role.
Proficient in operating manual machines (lathes and milling machines).
CNC experience is a plus, though not essential.
Solid attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
Excellent communication skills and a customer-centric attitude.
