Role impact & contribution

This newly established leadership role has been created to provide strategic and operational leadership across NSW Procurement's Governance and Information Services functions. Reporting to the Director Capability & Governance, the Associate Director will lead two established teams responsible for governance, accreditation, digital content and information services, ensuring priorities are aligned, services are integrated and outcomes are delivered effectively.

As a key member of the Capability & Governance leadership team, the role is responsible for developing team capability, driving continuous improvement, managing operational performance and providing strategic advice on governance and information service delivery. The role requires a highly collaborative leader who can successfully manage diverse functions, lead through change and build strong relationships across NSW Procurement and the broader public sector.

The Associate Director is responsible for ensuring these functions operate effectively and cohesively, delivering robust governance processes, high-quality digital content, and accessible procurement information for government buyers and suppliers. The role drives continuous improvement, operational performance and service excellence, while fostering a high-performing and collaborative team culture.

What you can bring to the role

In this important leadership role, the ideal candidate should meet the following criteria:

- Proven leadership experience managing multiple teams in a complex organisation.
- Strong governance, assurance, risk, information management or procurement experience, ideally within government or a regulated environment.




- Experience supporting executive or Board-level governance processes.
- Demonstrated success delivering digital, information management or service delivery improvements.
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement, influencing and consultation skills.
- Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving and organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
