VASSILIOU TWINS PTY LTD SOMMA Modern Greek is a contemporary Greek restaurant located in Norwood, South Australia is looking for the experienced CHEF to join its growing team. The venue offers a premium dining experience combining traditional Greek flavours with modern techniques, complemented by a strong focus on presentation, cocktails, and customer experience. The restaurant operates in a fast-paced, high-quality hospitality environment with a solid emphasis on consistency and service excellence.
Benefits Staff Discount Competitive salary : $75,000 – $85,000 + superannuation Full time position Task & responsibilities Planning and contributing to menu development, including modern Greek dishes Preparing and cooking high-quality meals in line with restaurant standards Monitoring quality at all stages of food preparation and presentation Supervising and coordinating kitchen staff, including cooks and kitchen hands Demonstrating cooking techniques and providing guidance to junior staff Managing stock,



ordering supplies, and ensuring proper stock rotation Maintaining kitchen hygiene and ensuring compliance with food safety regulations Adapting menu items to meet dietary requirements of customers Assisting in cost control, portion control, and minimising food wastage Working collaboratively with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service Qualification & experience Minimum 1 year of experience as a Chef in a commercial kitchen Relevant qualification (Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent) Experience in a rapid-paced, high-quality dining environment Strong knowledge of Mediterranean/Greek cuisine (preferred but not essential) Ability to work under pressure and maintain consistency Solid leadership, communication, and organisational skills Sound understanding of food safety and hygiene standards Work Type: Full time Salary: $ Job Publish: Job Expire: * Apply on: Experienced Chef Job here!
