A career opportunity exists to step into the full-time role as Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) Director across five OSHC services.

As OSHC Director, you will provide operational leadership, with a strategic focus on compliance, staff mentorship and relationship-building, supporting services to deliver high-quality programs in before and after school care and vacation care.

The position of OSHC Director will work collaboratively with services, families and schools, to drive continuous improvement and positive outcomes for children.

As part of a collaborative leadership team, the OSHC Director will have the opportunity to influence practice, mentor emerging leaders and contribute to the ongoing growth of our OSHC Services.

Key Responsibilities

- The position of OSHC Service Director will have overall responsibility for the efficient operation of each OSHC Service, supporting daily operations in line with legislative requirements and organisational policies and procedures.
- Effectively lead, mentor and support educators to deliver the best outcomes for children through a structured approach which balances professional development with emotional support.
- Ensure a safe, secure, and inclusive environment, addressing children's diverse needs, by implementing a holistic framework that combines proactive child protection, physical accessibility, and culturally responsive practices.
- Oversee the planning and assessment of high-quality programs guided by the National Quality Framework (NQF) in collaboration with the Educational Leader, to evaluate children's learning and maintain continuous quality improvement.
- Build positive Stakeholder relationships with intentional, consistent and collaborative communication with staff, children, management and the community.

Qualifications and Experience

- The successful candidate will have a Diploma qualification or above in Early Childhood Education and Care with demonstrated leadership experience in an education and care role.




- A collaborative leadership style with the ability to guide individuals to sustainable long-term success.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- A thorough understanding of the National Quality Framework, My Time, Our Place and relevant frameworks and legislation.
- Solid knowledge of QIP and the Assessment and Rating process.
- Sound knowledge of child safeguarding and the national principles for the child safe organisations.
- Knowledge and experience using Early Childhood Education (ECE) platforms, such as StoryPark, Xap and Easy Employer (or similar 3rd party software).
- Current working with Vulnerable People Registration.
- Current state-based National Child Safety Training (or ability to obtain prior to employment).
- Have or be willing to obtain First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma certificates.

Selection Criteria

- Proven leadership and management experience in an early childhood learning setting with the ability to support and mentor staff development to achieve outcomes.
- Thorough knowledge of the Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations, as well as relevant policy frameworks and curriculum.
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to build and maintain positive relationships with children, families, staff and other relevant stakeholders.
- Highly developed skills and experience in supporting inclusive practice, managing challenging behaviours and supporting within an early childhood/OSHC setting.
- Proven experience in utilising technology and relevant applications.
