Abbots and Kinney is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Cafe Operations Manager to join our dynamic team in our Adelaide cafe. As the Cafe Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our bustling cafe, ensuring exceptional customer service and efficient workflow. This is a full-time position based in our Adelaide location.
What you'll be doing
- Manage all cafe operations, including staff scheduling, inventory control, and financial reporting
- Provide strong leadership and mentoring to the cafe team, fostering a positive and productive work environment
- Develop and implement effective systems and procedures to optimise cafe performance
- Monitor and analyse key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and food hygiene regulations
- Collaborate with the management team to develop and execute marketing and promotional strategies
- Handle customer inquiries and complaints in a professional and timely manner
- Implement and manage strategic systems to help improve business efficiency and productivity
What we’re looking for
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a cafe or restaurant operations management role
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills,
with a focus on customer service
- Proficient in financial management, including budgeting, cost control, and reporting
- Thorough understanding of food safety and health regulations
- Proven experience in implementing operational efficiency and process improvement initiatives
- Passion for the hospitality industry and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences
