Role: Disability Support Worker

About the Role

This is an ideal role for those wanting a little extra income or side hustle and helping the community out at the same time. You will be working regularly with 1-3 clients, in their homes, from 30min to 2.5hrs per visit, providing domestic assistance, completing duties such as:

- Meal preparation (not complete food service)
- Vacuuming and Mopping
- Light house cleaning
- Dishwashing
- Clothes and linen, washing and ironing
- Bed making.
- Internal window cleaning
- Unaccompanied shopping & bill paying

Clients like routine and get comfort out of seeing the same people at the same time, so you will be assigned specific clients, and providing the services at the same time either on a weekly or fortnightly rotation. Reliability is KEY.





Clients prefer their services between the hours of 8:30am - 4:00pm Monday to Friday, so the successful applicant must be available to pick up shifts during those hours. For flexibility, you must be available at least two to three days a week.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide In home respite service and personal care (showering, dressing, grooming)
- Assist with meal preparation and light domestic tasks
- Support with community access and social activities
- Promote independence and skill-building
- Follow individual care plans and maintain accurate documentation

About You

- Minimum Cert III in Individual Support (Disability) or equivalent
- Experienced in Disability, Aged Care, Individual Support or Community Services
- Current First Aid / CPR and Manual Handling
- Current Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
- NDIS Screening Check
- Working With Children Check (WWCC)
- Driver's license and reliable vehicle (preferred)
- Compassionate, reliability and a committed to person-centered care
- Required to travel
- Due to the personal care needs of the clients, this role requires a female support worker in accordance with the Sex Discrimination Act 1984 (Cth), Section 30.
