About the role:
Lawmee is working with a well-regarded international law firm to secure an experienced Workplace & Planning and Native Title Lawyer on a contract basis.
Commencing as soon as possible, this part-time engagement is offered on an ongoing, ad hoc basis, depending on client needs and project requirements.
Working as part of the firm's broader mining team, you will assist on a major project involving environmental and native title due diligence.
Your responsibilities may include:
- Conducting due diligence for a major mining project.
- Reviewing compliance with environmental approvals and regulatory obligations.
- Assessing native title risks and related legal issues.
- Supporting project teams on environmental and planning matters.
- Providing strategic advice in relation to approvals and project development risks.
Who we are looking for:
We’d like to hear from Environment & Planning and/or Native Title Lawyers with 8+ years' PAE, gained in leading international, national, or boutique law firms.
Why are lawyers using Lawmee’s secondments marketplace?
Choose the work you want, when you want it - get ’matched’ with opportunities as they become available, and choose whether to apply.
Flexibility - hybrid working options, including WFH and the flexibility to choose the hours you work.
Get paid for every hour worked - including overtime.
Full support from our team - we’re based locally in Australia (with administration, timesheets, payroll, and superannuation all handled for you).
Thank you for your support as we embark on the journey to reshape legal secondments.
