About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Credit Team Leader to join our Lending Operations team.

Reporting to the Credit Manager , you will lead and support a team of Credit Analyst responsible for assessing customer borrowing needs, managing secured lending opportunities, and delivering exceptional customer service throughout the lending journey.

This role combines people leadership, credit assessment expertise, operational excellence, and customer engagement. You will be responsible for coaching and developing team members, driving performance, ensuring compliance with responsible lending obligations, and maintaining strong relationships with customers and business partners.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead, coach and develop the Credit team to achieve lending, service and operational targets.
- Coordinate the team's management and follow-up of new lending opportunities.
- Provide day-to-day leadership,



guidance and support to create a high-performing team culture.
- Monitor team productivity, service levels and quality standards.
- Manage escalated customer enquiries, complaints and complex lending scenarios.
- Support the preparation, review and assessment of loan applications and lending proposals.
- Ensure compliance with responsible lending obligations, regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Monitor quality assurance outcomes and documentation standards.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and customer experience.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, brokers, dealers and introducers.
- Partner with the Credit Manager to support employee development, performance management and business growth initiatives.

About You

You are a customer-focused leader with strong lending experience and a passion for developing people. You thrive in a fast-paced setting and enjoy balancing customer outcomes, compliance requirements and commercial objectives.

- Previous experience in a Team Leader, Senior Credit Analyst or similar leadership role.
- Experience within lending, banking, consumer finance or financial services.
- Strong understanding of credit assessment and responsible lending principles.




- Proven experience coaching, mentoring and developing team members.
- Experience managing customer escalations and complex lending enquiries.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and achieve results.
- Experience working within a regulated environment with a strong compliance focus.
