The Opportunity:

We’re seeking an experienced Maintenance Fitter to join our Black Swan manufacturing site in Clayton South. Reporting to the Reliability & Maintenance Manager, this hands‑on role is responsible for executing preventative and corrective maintenance activities across the site to ensure equipment reliability, minimise downtime, and support safe, efficient production operations in a fast‑paced FMCG environment. We are recruiting for both morning and afternoon shift positions.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

- Carry out preventative and corrective maintenance on production and utilities equipment.
- Diagnose mechanical faults and perform timely repairs to minimise production downtime.
- Respond to breakdowns with a strong focus on root cause analysis and long‑term solutions.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records using CMMS systems (e.g. MEX, Fiix), including work orders and parts usage.
- Assist with the management of critical spare parts and consumables.
- Ensure all maintenance activities are completed safely and in line with site procedures, food safety and quality standards.

You’ll bring a proactive, safety‑first mindset and strong mechanical capability,



along with:

- Minimum 3 years of experience in a maintenance role within manufacturing or FMCG environments.
- Strong mechanical fault‑finding and problem‑solving skills.
- Experience using CMMS systems (MEX, Fiix or similar is highly regarded).
- Exposure to food manufacturing environments (desirable).
- A high level of attention to detail, quality workmanship and effective communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively and manage competing priorities.
