A recent opportunity for a Java focussed Tech Architect to join an insurance business's AI transformation programme.
This is architecture only - no coding, working on integrating recent platforms to make sure AI-driven systems fit together properly, from data integration through to the wider tech stack.
Heavy focus on kafka, Java, Springboot, data integration patterns, coud and security.
I need someone who will be the go-to for dev teams when they hit technical roadblocks and have real influence over how this transformation program is architected long term.
Stack;
Java/Spring Boot background essential, Azure primary with some AWS




Robust grip on microservices architecture, Kafka, and data systems
Solid understanding of platform, cloud and security considerations
Comfortable owning solution designs and guiding integration decisions across systems
Insurance domain knowledge is needed as you'll understand how the business functions connect and fit together.
A normal week looks like;
40% working solution designs and integration patterns with dev teams
25% architecture governance across the AI transformation workstreams
20% platform/cloud and security alignment
15% unblocking dev teams and resolving technical bottlenecks
