Harvey Water is an Irrigation Cooperative based in the South West of Western Australia, delivering non-potable water to our Members and Customers through an extensive piped distribution network and open channel system. We have a solid focus on delivering non-potable water efficiently, sustainably and affordably.
Harvey Water is currently looking for a conscientious and safety-minded Water Controller to join our team. The Water Controller will be responsible for the water delivery and maintenance throughout the irrigation network, specifically the piped-irrigation districts.
Job Description
The Water Controller is responsible for:
Managing the release of water to the irrigation system and the delivery to farms safely and efficiently.
Reviewing orders and planning the delivery through Harvey Water's piped network.
Maintaining communication with irrigators via telephone, email contact, face-to-face, etc.
Enter data efficiently and accurately into the various software - Harvey Water will provide training on how to operate this software.
Performing network routine maintenance such as chainsawing and weed control.




Maintain the water measurement devices in working order (dataloggers and water meters)
Reporting issues on the network that require maintenance.
Skills and Attributes
This role requires:
A current C Class licence.
Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
A positive attitude to safety.
Able to work autonomously and in a team setting.
Basic computer and data entry skills.
Good customer service and interpersonal skills.
Experience in farming is advantageous.
Location
The position is based in part of our irrigation district, which runs between Waroona and Wokalup. The Harvey Water office is located in Harvey, but this role is best suited for those candidates living in or within proximity of the irrigation area.
Salary Range
A competitive base salary will be offered, plus 14.5% superannuation and access to a short-term incentive bonus program, dependent on the employee's performance.
