About The Opportunity

As Laboratory Manager, you will lead Council's NATA-accredited water laboratory, ensuring accurate, timely and compliant testing that supports protected water and environmental outcomes for the community. You'll guide a skilled team, oversee sampling and analysis programs, and maintain high standards in quality assurance and regulatory compliance. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will also contribute technical expertise to investigations and continuous improvement. Your work will directly support essential water services across the Bundaberg Region.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate the following key selection criteria:

- Strong leadership experience, with the ability to guide and develop a small technical team.
- Demonstrated experience working in a NATA-accredited laboratory, ideally within water services or a similar field.
- Highly organised, with the ability to manage laboratory programs, data integrity and reporting to regulatory standards.
- Excellent communication skills and can build strong relationships with stakeholders.




- Hold a Bachelor's Degree of Science, or similar relevant qualification and are committed to maintaining high safety and quality standards
