As a result of continuous national growth, LAI Group is seeking a Machinist – Milling / Router Operator to join our team at our manufacturing plant in Adelaide (Ferryden park) within our Millingdepartment. Schedule

Full-time / Casual

A 38-hour week (Monday – Friday + reasonable overtime).

Wage (Negotiable - Experience, knowledge, and ability will be taken into consideration).

The Position

The Machinist – Milling/Router Operator produces high-quality electrical insulation panels for our switchboard internal components, using both CNC and traditional machining methods. We're looking for a reliable, hands-on individual with a positive attitude who's ready to build their skills and take on greater responsibility over time.

Key Responsibilities

- Manufacture of electrical insulation panels for switchboard internal components
- Interpret shop drawings
- Knowledge of CNC Machinery. Previous Multicam and Cintimatic experience is a positive
- Knowledge of Milling Tooling and Optimization Principles
- Minimising machine downtime
- Ability to take on more responsibilities to improve your skills
- Understanding and the ability to use multiple machine operation software’s
- Ensure the cutting schedule is complete in a timely manner to suit workshop production
- Use of non-CNC machinery
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Performing scheduled maintenance on the machinery

The Candidate

- Sheet Metal Experience
- Milling / Router Operation Experience
- Experience interpreting technical or shop drawings
- A proactive approach machine maintenance and minimising downtime




- Willingness to take on additional responsibilities and grow within the role

Desired Competencies

- CNC machinery experience
- Multicam experience (desirable, not essential)
- Cintimatic experience (desirable, not essential)
