About the Role
Reporting to theMachine Shop Supervisor, you will be responsible forprogramming, setting up, and operating CNC lathes and machining centreswithin a busy jobbing workshop setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Program and operateCNC lathes and machining centres
Proficiency withSIEMENS 828D/840D controlsandSIEMENS ShopTurnlanguage is essential
Produce high-precision components to exacting standards
Read and interpret complex technical drawings
Work autonomously and collaborate effectively in a small team
Maintainsafety, quality, and workshop housekeepingstandards
Operate forklifts and overhead cranes (desirable)
About You
You will bring:




ATrade Certificate / Qualificationin Machining or equivalent
Proven experience as aCNC Machinist—CNC turning experience preferred
Robust ability toprogram, set up, and operateCNC machines
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work with minimal supervision
AForklift Licence(advantageous but not essential)
