About the Chance
We're looking for an experienced Team Leader to oversee the delivery of parks maintenance services across a variety of public open spaces, including parks, reserves and streetscapes. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll coordinate daily operations, support your team, and help maintain high-quality community assets.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate the daily activities of the parks maintenance crew.
Oversee turf, horticultural and landscape maintenance programs.
Supervise the secure operation and maintenance of plant and equipment.
Coach, train and support team members to maintain high performance and safety standards.
Inspect parks and public open spaces, identifying maintenance requirements and reporting asset issues.
Monitor work quality, productivity and completion of scheduled maintenance.
Maintain accurate records, reports and operational documentation.
Ensure compliance with WHS, traffic management and environmental requirements.
Assist with continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to a positive team culture.




Liaise with internal stakeholders and respond to operational enquiries when required.
About You
To be successful, you'll have:
Experience leading teams within parks, horticulture, landscaping, turf or open space maintenance.
A Certificate III (or higher) in Horticulture, Parks & Gardens, Turf Management or a related discipline.
Current MR Driver's Licence and White Card.
Strong knowledge of protected work practices, risk management and plant operation.
Excellent communication and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads and lead by example.
A customer-focused attitude and commitment to delivering quality outcomes.

Basic Traffic Management accreditation.
Senior First Aid Certificate.
Chainsaw certification.
Previous experience mentoring, training or developing operational staff.
