Intermediate Tax Accountant - Hybrid | Part-Time to Full Time | Maylands, SA

Join Katalyst Accounting, a growing tax and business advisory firm based in Maylands, SA. We work with a diverse client base and pride ourselves on delivering personalised, high-quality advice. We're looking for an experienced Intermediate Tax Accountant to join our team in a part time hybrid role.

About the Role

This is a hands-on role across tax compliance and advisory work. You'll be working closely with the principal and directly with clients, so strong technical knowledge and good communication skills are both essential. The role is based at our Maylands office 2-3 days per week, with the remainder worked remotely. Additional flexibility is available for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and review individual and small business financials and tax returns
- Prepare business activity statements and other compliance work
- Assist with tax planning and advisory services, including FBT and Div 7A matters




- Research and apply current tax laws and regulations
- Communicate directly with clients via email, phone, and video
- Collaborate with senior accountants to ensure accuracy and compliance

What We’re Looking For

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Experience in public practice (tax focus preferred)
- Solid working knowledge of Australian tax law - FBT and Div 7A expertise highly regarded
- Proficient in Xero and Xero Tax
- Confident communicator with strong written and verbal skills
- Self-motivated and able to manage your own workload with minimal supervision
- Valid work visa or Australian work rights required
