- Remuneration: $161,241 to $168,919 pa (HEW9) (inclusive of $136,251 to $142,738 salary pa, 17% superannuation and 17.5% recreation leave loading)
- Open to: The position is open to current staff members of QUT who have unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of the fixed-term appointment. In support of our strategic priority of Indigenous Australian success, Aboriginal Australians and Torres Strait Islander people who are not QUT staff are also eligible and encouraged to apply

Who are we looking for?

We are seeking a Executive Officer to join Office of the Executive Dean, Faculty of Science.

The Executive Officer provides strategic advice, planning support and executive coordination to the Executive Dean and Faculty Executive to support achievement of Faculty priorities and strategic objectives. The role drives Faculty planning and performance activities, develops executive briefings and recommendations, coordinates strategic initiatives, and supports organisational change and improvement across the faculty.

What You Need To Succeed

- Education, training and/or relevant experience equivalent to postgraduate qualifications, together with substantial experience supporting strategic planning, organisational change and executive decision-making within a complex environment.
- Highly developed interpersonal and relationship management skills, with demonstrated ability to influence, collaborate and build productive partnerships with senior leaders and stakeholders across complex organisational environments.
- Excellent written communication skills, including the ability to prepare executive briefings, strategic papers, presentations and communications that support decision-making and organisational change.
- Demonstrated ability to synthesise complex information from multiple sources and translate data, trends and emerging issues into meaningful insights that inform planning, performance and strategic decision-making.
- Demonstrated ability to support senior leaders through strategic planning, organisational change and complex decision-making, including the provision of high-quality advice, analysis and recommendations.
- Demonstrated experience leading or coordinating complex initiatives, organisational change or strategic projects, including the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes in dynamic environments.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply policy, governance and regulatory requirements, identify risks and opportunities, and provide sound advice to support organisational decision-making.
- Demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity and Indigenous Australian engagement.
