What We Are Looking For
We’re looking for a GIS specialist to join our Assets & Spatial team. You’ll play a pivotal role in supporting the delivery of Council’s GIS and spatial analysis services, with a focus on supporting our Strategic Planning team.
What Your Day Will Look Like
- Conducting GIS research and analysis
- Developing, implementing and maintaining GIS data
- Identifying business improvement opportunities and developing proposals
- Supporting internal clients on strategic, technical and procedural issues
- Undertaking audits and ensuring relevant documentation is accurate
What You’ll Need For Success
- Significant experience in a similar role across analysis, problem resolution and GIS process design
- A high level of spatial software skills with the ability to pick up current systems with ease
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to relate to people with varying levels of knowledge
What’s Nice To Have
- Experience in local government
- Experience producing planning scheme maps
