Role Description The Owner role at Gridware is a full-time, on-site position based in Sydney, NSW. The Owner will provide strategic leadership, define the company vision, and guide the overall direction of services, operations, and market positioning. Day-to-day responsibilities include overseeing business development, managing key client relationships, and ensuring high-quality delivery of cybersecurity consulting and advisory engagements. The role involves leading senior teams, shaping service offerings, setting performance and financial targets, and making data-informed decisions about investments, partnerships, and innovation. The Owner will also represent Gridware in industry forums, drive brand awareness, and foster a culture of integrity, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Extensive leadership experience in cybersecurity, technology consulting, or related professional services, including responsibility for strategy, operations, and P&L.;
- Robust background in cybersecurity domains such as risk management, incident response, security architecture, or threat intelligence, with the ability to engage credibly with technical and executive stakeholders.
- Proven track record in business development, client relationship management, and growing revenue through long-term partnerships and high-value engagements.
- Demonstrated skills in corporate governance, financial management, and organizational planning, including budgeting, forecasting, and performance measurement.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities, with capacity to influence boards, executives, and external partners.
- Experience building and leading diverse, high-performing teams, including talent development, mentoring, and fostering an inclusive workplace culture.
- Bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity, information technology, business, or a related discipline; advanced degree (e.g., MBA, master’s in information security) is highly beneficial.
- Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CISA, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer or Lead Auditor) are advantageous.
- Strong understanding of Australian regulatory requirements and standards related to information security, privacy, and data protection.
