This is a unique leadership opportunity to oversee a diverse business that combines a thriving trade operation with a busy retail environment. We’re seeking a hands‑on, people‑focused Store Manager who can balance operational excellence with delivering an exceptional customer experience across both sides of the business.

What you’ll be doing

- Leading, coaching and motivating a multi‑skilled team across both Retail and Trade operations
- Creating an engaging in‑store experience that delivers exceptional service for DIY customers, homeowners and trade professionals alike
- Being hands‑on on the shop floor, supporting team members and customers throughout the day
- Driving retail sales performance through strong merchandising, product presentation and promotional execution
- Building team capability through coaching, development and ongoing product knowledge training
- Overseeing daily store operations including stock management, trade order fulfilment and inventory control
- Coordinating deliveries, logistics and supplier relationships to maintain an efficient operation
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with builders,



contractors and key trade customers
- Monitoring sales performance across both retail and trade channels and identifying growth opportunities
- Working closely with ownership and leadership to achieve business objectives and strengthen community engagement

What we’re looking for

- A hands‑on leader who thrives in a customer‑focused retail environment and leads by example
- Proven experience leading teams and creating a positive, engaged and accountable culture
- Strong understanding of retail operations, merchandising standards and customer service excellence
- Experience working with trade customers, building products, hardware, timber or related industries
- Commercial acumen with the ability to drive sales growth across both retail and trade segments
- Robust operational capabilities with experience managing stock, deliveries and day‑to‑day store performance
- Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills
- Background in hardware, trade, construction supply or big‑box retail (highly desirable)
- Organised, practical and solution‑focused with a strong work ethic
