Healthy Lifestyles (Smoking Cessation) Promotion Program Officer

Nindilingarri Cultural Health Services is looking for a full-time Healthy Lifestyle Promotion Program Officer to become part of our team in Fitzroy Crossing, Western Australia. In this vital position, you will be tasked with creating and implementing health promotion programs aimed at tackling smoking and vaping, ultimately supporting the wellbeing of our local community.

What You'll Be Doing

Plan, implement, and evaluate Healthy Lifestyles/Smoking Cessation activities for community members.

Coordinate and/or execute the development of resources and deliver Healthy Lifestyles support and education to families in the Fitzroy Valley.

Visit remote communities to conduct consultations with community members and assist in the implementation of Healthy Lifestyles strategies.

Ensure that overall program goals outlined in the Healthy Lifestyles Action Plan are achieved, along with timely reporting.

Maintain records and statistics regarding service provision for reporting and evaluation purposes.

Monitor and assess the impact of health promotion programs, reporting on outcomes and providing recommendations for enhancement.

Contribute to the overall health and wellbeing strategy of Nindilingarri Cultural Health Services.

What We're Looking For

A tertiary qualification in health promotion or a related field.

At least one year of experience in health promotion, community engagement, or delivering targeted programs.

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse community groups.





Experience in program planning, implementation, and evaluation.

A demonstrated commitment to improving health outcomes and empowering communities.

Familiarity with the local Fitzroy Crossing community and its cultural context is highly desirable.
