About the Role

The Benalla, Wangaratta and Mansfield Local is partnering with Gateway Health to extend their mental health and wellbeing support into the Towong Shire, a community significantly impacted by bushfire.

This exciting part time opportunity (0.8EFT – 60.8 hours per fortnight until 30/06/2027) based in Tallangatta, is a combination of providing evidence-based care to participants, as well as clinical leadership and line management to a small team. Alongside lived experience peers and a psychologist, you will playa vital role in ensuring participants, carers, and their families receive valuable, supportive evidence based,biopsychosocial andtherapeutic mental health care.

This role is classified under multiple agreements. The classification will depend on the qualifications of the successful applicant (see Position Description attached for more information).

Skills & Experience

To thrive in this role, you’ll bring:

- Qualification asMental Health Nurse or Allied Health Qualified (Social Worker or Occupational Therapist)
- Current provisional/general registration as a psychologist with thePsyBAof Australia
- Commitment to working under supervisionin accordance withregistration requirements
- Demonstrated knowledge of evidence-based psychological interventions




- Emerging skills in assessment,formulationand intervention planning
- Demonstrated time management abilities, excellent communication (written and oral)and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrate a friendly, proactive approach and ability to work with competing demands and balance priorities with efficiency and professionalism.
- Ability to work effectively independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
