This is a permanent part‑time (0.9FTE) position commencing ASAP.

Responsibilities

- Cater meals at the college and for college functions, ensuring food handling and occupational hygiene practices comply with relevant health and safety guidelines.
- Maintain high levels of quality control while ensuring kitchen equipment and facilities are hygienically maintained.
- Demonstrate good organisational and interpersonal skills and relate well with young people.
- Respond to changing work needs within a team.
- Manage day‑to‑day catering, including menu planning, food preparation (including special dietary requirements), cooking for 50–100 people, food ordering and stock control.

Qualifications

- Qualification in Food Safety Supervision Skill Set, or ability to obtain this qualification within the first six weeks.
- Demonstrated ability to carry out cook duties for 50–110 students to a high standard.

Eligibility

- Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.
- Consens to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education’s Screening Unit before you start.
- Obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check.
