Position Information

Permanent full‑time teacher – Year 3 to 6 Senior Room, commencing Term 3, 2026.

The Role

We are seeking a passionate and committed teacher to lead our Year 3 to 6 Senior Room. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a teacher who values strong relationships, explicit teaching, and collaborative teamwork within a small, supportive rural community.

The successful applicant will:

- Diligently establish a positive and inclusive classroom environment, setting high expectations and fostering a growth mindset.
- Prioritise students’ social and emotional development while delivering engaging literacy and numeracy programs.
- Utilise high‑impact teaching strategies and demonstrate experience in designing and delivering differentiated instruction.
- Apply various assessment tools to inform progress, provide constructive feedback, and guide future planning.

Mobility Appointments

Eligible permanent teachers who hold a substantive teaching position in a North or South Education Region school, or a South West Education Region school, may elect to undertake this role as a 3‑year mobility appointment. The appointment allows a right of return to the substantive position after the 3‑year period, with the option to transfer permanently into this school.

Note that south west teachers are not eligible to move to another south west school under this trial.

Eligibility

- Hold an eligible teacher qualification and registration.
- Be an Australian or Recent Zealand citizen, permanent resident, or hold a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.
- Apply for a WA Working with Children Check before you start.
- Consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number from the Department of Education’s Screening Unit before you start.
