Our client is based in the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney NSW, we are a tight-knit team of experts in our field, with extensive experience in providing professional cost consulting services for projects across all sectors of the construction industry. Our portfolio of work is strongly focused on the Residential sector (Luxury Homes & Residential Apartments) with numerous jobs in commercial, retail, clubs/ entertainment and industrial industries. Due to our growing pipeline of work ahead, we are looking for a Quantity Surveyor with 1 to 4 years of experience looking to grow within our company and become a valuable member of our team.
Job Responsibilities
- Providing accurate cost advice to clients;
- Measurement of quantities and application of appropriate market rates in preparation of preliminary estimates, cost plans and bills of quantities/ pre-tender estimates;
- Preparation of Reports such as Council Estimates and Bank Reports;
- Conduct Tender Analysis Reports/ Adjudications;
- Undertake Value Engineering Exercises and provide suitable cost advice when required;
- Undertake contract administration services including assessment of variations and preparation of progress claims;
- Maintain ongoing client and internal team communication and resolve issues in a timely manner;
- Ability to meet and manage clients and other qualified consultants;
- General office administration duties as required
Job Requirements
- Understanding of Construction Costs & Measurement.
- Degree qualification in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management;
- 1 to 4 years work experience performing Quantity Surveying, Estimating or Contract Administration roles locally within Australia;
- Knowledge of construction methodology and innovations;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Ability to work in a team and independently;
- Computer literacy and ability to use MS Office Suite and Cost X;
- Current residence in Greater Sydney, NSW (Preferably Eastern Suburbs);
- Applicable Australian Work Visa;
- Driver’s license
