We are also committed to the continuous development and training of our personnel to maintain a safe and rewarding work environment. The RoleKAEFER Australia is currently looking for an HSE/Injury Management Assistant, to work at our busy office in Mackay, QLD.
The successful applicant will be working withing a busy HSE division both regionally and nationally. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to begin their career in HSE with a business offering a high ceiling for potential career development.
Key Accountabilities
- Develop an understanding of KAEFER's business; services/disciplines to industry, operational locations, structure.
- Develop an understanding of how KAEFER operates and the relationship between site, head office and your role in the HSE department, covering key business functions relevant to your position and responsibilities.
- Providing coordination, administration and support to the Injury Management and Safety team.
- Assist the National Injury Management Coordinator and Senior Safety Manager with any requirements.
- Assist in the gathering and reporting of Injury Management and HSE data and statistics.
- Under direction, provide assistance and guidance to employees and supervisors regarding Workplace Rehabilitation processes.
- Participate in the system of audit and continuous improvement of KAEFER's HSE Management system.
- Assist with D&A; testing in the Mackay Facility and associated sites.
- Assist with workplace inspections.
- Assist with workplace incident investigations and implement preventative measures.
- Participate in the development of internal HSE training packages and presentation to the workforce.
- Involvement in the development of HSE management plans.
Training/ Qualifications Desirable (or willing to undertake required training)
- Return to Work Coordinator
- Certificate IV in Work, Health & Safety
- Apply First Aid
- Fire Warden Training
- Drug & Alcohol Testing
- IMS Internal Auditor Training
Skills and Experience
- Some experience in a similar role.
- Excellent communications skills with experience dealing with a wide range of stakeholders.
- A keen eye for detail with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise, with a strong initiative.
- An open, robust and practical approach.
- A sound knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Maintain current knowledge of applicable statutory requirements.
