Injury Management Officer (IMO)

Location – Parramatta CBD - 50% office attendance (hybrid)

Employment type – Talent Pool for Casual and temporary opportunities

Salary – Clerk Grade 5/6 - $102,936 pa - $113,579 pa (plus employers’ contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading)

Hourly Rate for Casual: $69.52- $76.70 per hour (inclusive of 15% casual loading and 4/48ths annual leave loading)

As an Injury Management Officer, you’ll deliver expert injury and claims management, collaborating with employees, managers, and providers to ensure practical, compassionate, and compliant outcomes.

Your role

In this role, you’ll manage a diverse caseload across DCJ, providing guidance, coordination, and education to support employees throughout their recovery journey. You’ll deliver best‑practice injury and claims management while ensuring compliance with legislative and policy requirements.

What You’ll Do

- Delivering tailored injury management and return-to-work programs
- Managing workers compensation claims end‑to‑end
- Coordinating recovery‑at‑work plans and injury prevention strategies
- Providing advice and arranging referrals for medical assessments
- Coaching and supporting managers on legislation, policies, and best practice
- Building strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders
- Maintaining accurate and compliant case documentation

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone passionate about helping people and confident navigating complex cases. You’ll also bring:





- Robust knowledge of NSW workers compensation legislation and policy
- Experience in injury management, return-to‑work or claims case management
- A genuine commitment to supporting employees through recovery
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to handle sensitive conversations
- Proven ability to build trusted relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
