- Ongoing Full Time, 35 hours per week
- Primary Work Location: Office location in Southern NSW upon negotiation and availability, including Tumut, Batemans Bay, Queanbeyan or Eden offices.
- Regulatory Officer Grade 4 – Salary from $106,182 up to $109,166 per annum (FTE) plus super and leave loading

About the Role

As a Compliance Officer, you will support voluntary compliance with hunting legislation across the southern part of NSW. You will plan and undertake compliance operations, conduct investigations, gather evidence and provide clear advice to hunters, stakeholders and members of the public. The role also involves working with NSW Police, public land managers and other agencies to support secure, lawful and responsible hunting practices. You will work with a reasonable level of independence, manage competing priorities and use a range of systems to record operational activity, investigation outcomes and reporting information.

About You

As our ideal candidate, you will have:

- Knowledge of hunting legislation and risk-based regulatory compliance
- Experience in investigations, evidence gathering and accurate record keeping
- Sound judgement when making decisions in field-based compliance settings
- Clear communication skills and the ability to explain regulatory requirements
- The ability to manage competing priorities and work with limited supervision
- Confidence using technology and systems to record operational outcomes
- A current driver’s licence and willingness to travel regularly across southern NSW.
