About the role

As an Allied Health Assistant Grade 3, you will work within a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, evidence-based therapy to patients in our sub-acute rehabilitation wards.

Working under the supervision of Physiotherapists, you will provide individualised therapy support, including exercise programs, mobility assistance to promote early rehabilitation, discharge equipment coordination, and support for Allied Health clinicians during patient therapy. Your contribution will play a key role in helping patients achieve the best possible outcomes.

You will also undertake a range of non-clinical duties to support Allied Health service delivery, including administrative tasks and the collection and cleaning of mobility aids and equipment. This role also offers opportunities to supervise Allied Health Assistant students and mentor junior AHA staff, with ongoing support from our experienced Physiotherapy team.

Key responsibilities

- Deliver individualised therapy programs under the supervision of Physiotherapists
- Assist patients with mobility, rehabilitation and discharge planning activities
- Support Allied Health service delivery through equipment management and administrative tasks
- Supervise Allied Health Assistant students and mentor junior staff





What we're looking for

- Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance (or equivalent qualification)
- Experience supporting patients with exercise and individual therapy in a healthcare setting
- Excellent communication, organisation and teamwork skills
- Commitment to high-quality, person-centred care and ongoing professional development
