An exciting temporary opportunity is available for an experienced Board and Committee Support Officer to join a skilled and collaborative team for an initial six-month engagement commencing in late June. Flexible and part-time working arrangements will be considered.

Role Overview
Reporting to the Governance team, you will provide high-level administrative and secretariat support to the Board and Governance Committee. This role is responsible for coordinating meetings, preparing governance documentation, managing agendas and minutes, and ensuring effective governance processes are maintained.
About the Person
You are an organised and proactive governance professional with recent experience supporting a State Government board and/or committee. You have exceptional attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate Board and Governance Committee meetings and associated logistics.
- Prepare and distribute agendas, papers, reports, and meeting packs.
- Attend meetings and prepare accurate minutes and action registers.
- Monitor and follow up action items to ensure timely completion.
- Maintain governance records and documentation in accordance with organisational requirements.
- Liaise with Board members, executives, and key stakeholders.
- Support governance reporting and compliance activities as required.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
- Recent experience providing secretariat support to a State Government board and/or committee.
- Demonstrated experience preparing agendas, minutes, and governance documentation.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and document management systems.
- Experience working in a government or governance environment will be highly regarded.
