We're looking for an experienced and motivated Afternoon Shift Team Leader to join our growing warehouse team in Yatala.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll be responsible for leading a small team of warehouse staff, ensuring customer orders are picked, packed and dispatched accurately, safely and on time. You'll be leading by example, driving productivity, maintaining a positive team culture and helping us deliver exceptional service to some of Australia's leading retail brands.
This is a 6-month contract to support a significant growth period within our business, with the potential for extension for the right candidate.
Key responsibilities
- Lead, coach and motivate the afternoon shift warehouse team
- Ensure daily picking, packing and dispatch targets are achieved
- Monitor productivity, quality and accuracy throughout the shift
- Allocate work and manage labour to maximise efficiency
- Support the onboarding and training of new team members
- Maintain a safe, clean and organised warehouse environment
- Assist with inventory control, stock investigations and cycle counts
- Lead by example and assist with warehouse operations whenever required
About you
To be successful in this role you'll have:
- Previous experience leading a warehouse or distribution team
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- A positive,
energetic and hands-on approach to leadership
- Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
- High attention to detail and a commitment to quality
- The ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- A current Forklift Licence (preferred but not essential)
