What you will do
- Be operationally responsible for the day-to-day delivery of the aseptic dispensing service, ensuring effective and safe usage of resources, timely preparation, and clinically appropriate medication.
- Assist in the organisation and management of aseptic services to guarantee products are fit for use and delivered on time.
- Support the Aseptic Services Accountable Pharmacist by providing professional expertise, ensuring compliance with Section 10 Exemption and National Standards (QAAPs), thereby maintaining a safe aseptic service.
- Implement training programmes in aseptic preparation, equipping staff to perform aseptic tasks safely and efficiently.
- Provide clinical screening of prescriptions in alignment with best clinical and local practices.
- Undertake project and development work for the aseptic dispensing service and cancer care pharmacy team to meet and uphold standards.
- Propose and implement service or policy changes to ensure continued development and maintain high-quality standards.
- Maintain aseptic documentation and records to facilitate effective management of the unit and ensure compliance with good practice standards.
- Participate in monthly Quality Meetings with the QA team and bimonthly Quality Management Meetings, ensuring continuous improvement.
