About The Role
We are looking for a Pipework's Leading Hand to join the team. As a Leading Hand you will be responsible for the completion of the project on or under time, whilst ensuring a safe site is maintained and a quality product is constructed for delivery to the client.
Projects will include minor civil infrastructure works and urban development projects.
Duties
- Must have a thorough understanding of OHS and environmental requirements
- Must arrange Plant, Labour and material resources for the project
- Must direct and monitor Sub‑Contractors, Suppliers and plant hirers
- Must control survey requirements
- Must daily monitor activity costs
- Must monitor compliance with safety and environmental requirements
- Must maintain compliance with construction program
- Must report all non-conformances and assist with recommendations for remedial work
- Must maintain a daily record of site activities
- Must ensure client quality expectations are being met / exceeded (in accordance with spec)
Skills And Qualifications
- Certificate III in Civil Construction
- Current driver’s licence
- Good communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Proven leadership skills
- Must have a thorough knowledge of the drawings, specifications and quality requirements for all site related activities
- Must have experience in minor civil infrastructure works and or urban development projects
- Solid sense of teamwork
- Must have proven ability to constantly deliver high quality construction projects within budget and program constraints
- Must have experience in shoring
- Pipelaying experience is highly regarded.
