About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and driven Learn to Swim Instructor to join our Aquatics department. The role requires a mature approach to fostering a safe and supportive aquatic environment, delivering high‑quality learn‑to‑swim lessons and fostering a positive, educational swimming culture in conjunction with the Learn to Swim Team. Proven experience as a Learn to Swim Teacher is essential, along with the ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a team environment. An instructor with an Infants extension course qualification (SISCAQU027 or equivalent) will be considered favourably.

- Deliver high‑quality learn‑to‑swim lessons.
- Foster a positive, educational swimming culture.
- Work collaboratively with the Learn to Swim Team.
- Maintain a safe and supportive aquatic environment.
- Schedule lessons during school hours, with some after‑school hours to accommodate program needs.

About You

Knowledge & Skills

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with children and parents.
- Proven experience as a Learn to Swim Teacher (minimum 12 months).




- Ability to assist students with acquiring and mastering new skills.
- Effective and collaborative teamwork skills.
- Ability to meet program needs of different departments.

Qualifications

- Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety (TSW).
- Teacher of Infant and Preschool Aquatics (SISCAQU027 or equivalent) – favourably considered.
- Level 2 First Aid and CPR qualification.
- Working with Children Check.
- National Crime Check.

- Lead by example to foster a culture of trust, respect and accountability.

Essential Requirements

- Level 2/Senior Provide/Perform First Aid.
- Current Provide/Perform CPR.
- Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety / Swim Australia Teacher (or equivalent).
- National Police / Criminal History Check.
- Working with Children / Working with Vulnerable People Check.

Desirable Criteria

- Teacher of Babies and Toddlers / Infant and Preschool Aquatics.
