ABOUT THE ROLE

At Hunter Primary Care, our GPs have the unique prospect to work and contribute across a range of community based and integrated healthcare services, including GP Access After Hours, Soul Clinic, headspace, and other primary care programs.

We are looking for GPs who are interested in joining our team in a part time or casual capacity. Hunter Primary Care offers adaptable arrangements that allow you to tailor your practice to suit your lifestyle while delivering high-quality care and making a genuine difference to the health and wellbeing of individuals and families across Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, and the Hunter region.

GPs at Hunter Primary Care can enjoy a broad and rewarding scope of practice, with opportunities to work across after-hours care, vulnerable & homeless and multidisciplinary models that improve health outcomes for the communities we serve.

ABOUT YOU

- Current unrestricted AHPRA registration as a General Practitioner
- Vocational registration (FRACGP or equivalent)
- You value working within a supportive team environment and appreciate the benefits of strong clinical governance and established systems




- Excellent interpersonal, communication and consultation skills

SPECIAL CONDITIONS

- Current NSW Working with Children Check
- National Police Check suitable for work with vulnerable persons or 100 points of ID
- Professional Indemnity Insurance
- CPD as per guidelines
- CPR as per guidelines
- Vaccinations required in line with Hunter Primary Care policies

- headspace - Newcastle. Provides early intervention mental health and overall wellbeing services to our youth 12-25 years of age across the Hunter region
- Soul Clinic - Newcastle. Provides a vital role in delivering accessible, integrated care to people experiencing homelessness, supporting better health, wellbeing, and community connection.
