Job Description

As a medical receptionist you will be working as part of our front of house team at Fertility Tasmania you will be the first-person patients meet when they engage with our clinic. You will provide exceptional customer service, underpinned by compassion and attention to detail, to directly enhance the patient experience.

- Triage incoming calls and emails
- Managing patient bookings and monitoring clinic appointments
- Book in-clinic procedures as well as liaise with staff from specialist rooms
- Book in-hospital procedures




- Medical billing, quoting and receipting
- Answer high volume of incoming calls in a skilled and courteous manner
- Accurate data entry into the patient management system
- Providing administrative support to the team of doctors, nurse, and laboratory staff.

The ideal candidate

We desire a medical receptionist that has a genuine interest in fertility and be sensitive to the needs of patients and display exceptional communication skills leading with care and compassion. Ideally you will bring the following:

Requirements

- Flexible hours available
- 1 year of relevant work experience required for this role
- Previous medical reception experience (essential)
- Previous experience with specialist billing (essential)
- Knowledge of IVF services (desirable but not essential)
- Excellent telephone manner
- Exceptional computer and IT skills, Microsoft Office Suite (essential)
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work cohesively within a multi-disciplinary team
- Superior time management skills with proven ability to multitask
- Understanding of patient confidentiality
