The Amazon Leo APJ Consumer team is looking for a talented Senior Manager, Subscriber Lifecycle & Retention to own the full subscriber lifecycle — from activation through mature tenure — across the Asia‑Pacific and Japan region. This role combines lifecycle marketing strategy with retention and churn prevention, ensuring subscribers activate successfully, engage deeply with the service, and remain loyal customers over the long term.

Key job responsibilities

Lifecycle Marketing & Engagement

- Design and execute the end‑to‑end subscriber lifecycle strategy from onboarding through mature tenure, defining communication cadence, channel mix, and messaging for each stage across APJ markets.
- Build and optimize the activation program, ensuring new subscribers complete setup and adopt key features within the first 30 days.
- Define segmentation strategies leveraging behavioral data, tenure, and usage patterns to personalize communications; execute A/B tests to continuously improve engagement.
- Define and execute subscriber cross‑sell and up‑sell campaigns.

Retention & Churn Prevention

- Develop and execute the churn prevention strategy, deploying predictive indicators to identify at‑risk subscribers and match them to the right interventions.
- Define and manage retention offers, eligibility gating, and distribution plans accounting for market‑specific dynamics.




- Build and optimize save programs across inbound and outbound channels, measuring effectiveness through testing and holdout groups; own the bottom‑up churn forecast.

Analytics & Cross‑Functional Partnership

- Track and report on lifecycle and retention KPIs; deliver business analyses and strategy documents quantifying contribution profit impact of initiatives.
- Partner with Data Science, Product, and Engineering to develop churn models and define tooling requirements, influencing the product roadmap to reduce operational burden.

Basic Qualifications

- 6+ years of skilled non‑internship marketing experience.
- Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements.
- Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables).
- Experience building, executing and scaling cross‑functional marketing programs.
- Experience leading go‑to‑market for consumer software or hardware product launches.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience using any of SQL or other analytical tools for conducting data analysis.
- Experience with customer segmentation, profiling, and targeting.
