Honeybird Coffee Roastery Kitchen is a specialty coffee roastery and café in the heart of Mount Beauty, bringing an urban agritourismo vibe to Victoria's High Country. We combine exceptional coffee, seasonal food and genuine hospitality to create an experience that draws locals, adventurers and visitors alike.

We're looking for an experienced Head Chef to lead our kitchen with confidence, creativity and precision. This is a hands‑on leadership role for someone who takes pride in a small but high‑performing team, maintaining exceptional standards and delivering consistently outstanding food.

You'll oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, from leading and mentoring the team to driving quality, consistency and efficiency. You'll be passionate about seasonal produce, organised under pressure and committed to creating a positive kitchen culture where excellence is the standard.

What you’ll be responsible for:

- Leading, mentoring and developing the kitchen team
- Maintaining exceptional food quality and presentation standards
- Ensuring consistency across every service
- Stock ordering, inventory control and supplier management




- Waste management and cost control to maximise kitchen efficiency
- Rostering and labour management
- Food safety, cleanliness and compliance
- Working collaboratively with our front‑of‑house and coffee teams to deliver an exceptional customer experience

What you’ll bring:

- Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef ready to step up
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team
- Exceptional attention to detail and uncompromising quality standards
- Experience managing food costs, stock control and kitchen systems
- Calm, organised and solutions‑focused under pressure
- A genuine passion for hospitality and creating memorable dining experiences
