People & Culture Manager Real Life Skills Support Services Maroochydore, Queensland, Australia
We're a fast-growing NDIS service provider on the Sunshine Coast, supporting participants across the region from our Maroochydore base. With 80+ staff and ambitious expansion plans, we need someone who's as comfortable in the field as they are in a boardroom.
Reporting directly to the General Manager, you'll oversee the people and operations. This is a rare hybrid role, part People & Culture lead, part operational backbone, built for someone who doesn't just manage process but actually shows up. You'll be the connective tissue between our people, our operations, and our mission. No two days are the same.
What You'll Do
People & Culture
Lead end-to-end recruitment, onboarding, and induction across a diverse 80+ person team
Design and deliver training programs that build capability and confidence at every level
Drive staff engagement, retention strategy, and a culture people actually want to be part of
Manage HR compliance, documentation, and policy in line with NDIS and relevant legislation
Support performance management and navigate complex HR matters with care and confidence
Operations & Daily Support
Manage and oversee rostering across a complex, fast-moving service environment
Be present — conduct house visits, staff check-ins, and face-to-face support across the Sunshine Coast
Answer phones and triage queries with calm, professionalism, and practical problem-solving
Conduct audits to maintain quality, compliance, and continuous improvement
Support the General Manager across daily operations, reporting, and business priorities
Contribute to our expansion strategy as we grow across the region
Who You Are

Exceptional organisational and multitasking skills you love managing a large to-do list and getting things done
Strong attention to detail and a proactive, solutions-focused mindset
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust across teams
Confidence working in a fast-paced, high-functioning office environment
Willingness to work flexibly, including being available for on-call duties when required
You've got proven HR experience but you're not worried about getting your hands dirty
You know the NDIS landscape (or you learn fast and ask smart questions)
You handle crisis with clarity you don't freeze, you act
You communicate well with everyone: executives, frontline staff, participants, and families
You're a natural organiser who can juggle multiple priorities without dropping the important ones
You're values-driven the 'why' matters to you as much as the 'how'
You hold a current driver's licence and can travel across the Sunshine Coast
What You'll Bring
Qualification in Human Resources, Business, or a related field (desirable but not essential)
Experience in disability services, aged care, or community sector (highly regarded)
Understanding of NDIS Practice Standards and compliance requirements
Solid experience with rostering systems and workforce management tools

Be part of a purpose driven organisation making a real impact
Work with a supportive, values-led leadership team
Varied, dynamic work, no two days are the same
