This is a pivotal role for a technical expert who combines deep garment knowledge with strong leadership skills and a passion for bringing beautifully crafted products to life.

About the Role

As Senior Garment Technologist, you will lead the development and delivery of technically sound, high-quality garments across all KYHA Studios product categories. You will own technical standards, guide fit and construction decisions, mentor technical team members and collaborate closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure excellence from concept through to production.

Working at the intersection of design, development and production, you'll play a critical role in maintaining KYHA's reputation for exceptional fit, craftsmanship and quality.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership & Product Development

- Create, interpret and critically analyse technical specifications and detailed tech packs.
- Develop and maintain technical standards for fit, grading, construction and quality.
- Produce and approve technical drawings that align with design intent and manufacturing capability.
- Lead fit sessions,



evaluate fit samples, and provide clear, actionable feedback.
- Ensure all tech packs accurately reflect BOMs, trims, POMs, grading rules and construction details.
- Maintain the integrity and accuracy of the technical library and documentation.
- Oversee technical accuracy of care labels and compliance requirements.

Supplier Technical Leadership

- Lead technical handover meetings with suppliers and production teams.
- Act as the primary technical escalation point for complex fit, construction and quality issues.
- Build strong supplier partnerships, understand manufacturing capabilities and lead times.
- Manage styles through the critical path, proactively identifying and mitigating risks.

Fit Governance

- Ensure all garments are measured accurately against approved specifications.
- Oversee grading accuracy and alignment across patterns, grading rules and technical documentation.
- Champion consistency and excellence across all product categories.
- Partner closely with Design, Development, Production and wider KYHA Studios' teams.
- Mentor and coach Garment Technologists, supporting technical growth and best practice.
- Drive process improvements and efficiency initiatives across the technical function.




- Contribute to a culture of collaboration, innovation and continuous improvement.

About You

You are a highly skilled Garment Technologist with a passion for technical excellence and a proven track record in premium apparel, bridal, couture or similarly complex product categories.

Essential Experience & Skills

- Minimum 8 years' experience in a similar Garment Technologist role.
- Advanced knowledge of garment construction, fit, grading and quality standards.
- Strong understanding of fabrics, trims and technical production processes.
- Patternmaking knowledge and experience working with body measurements.
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Microsoft Excel.
- Exceptional problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Experience working to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Highly organised with meticulous attention to detail.
- A positive, proactive, and collaborative approach.

Preferred Experience

- Bridal, couture or luxury fashion experience.

Qualifications

- Technical Certificate, Diploma or Degree in Fashion or a related field.
