Casual and permanent part‑time opportunity available where you will provide essential and practical care to help older people live independently in their homes and directly improve their quality of life. The role requires travel to clients’ homes using your own car for which you will be paid $0.99 per km plus paid travel time.
Responsibilities
- Providing personal care – helping with showering and dressing
- Helping around the home – meal preparation and light house cleaning
- Providing transportation to appointments and assisting with shopping
- Assisting with medication
Qualifications
- Female applicants only – recognized as a genuine occupation qualification under section 31(2h) of the Anti‑Discrimination Act 1977
- Valid Driver’s Licence and access to an insured, reliable car (minimum third‑party property insurance)
- Previous experience in aged or community care or a desire to start a career in aged care
- Certificate III in Aged Care or Individual Support preferred,
but we can help you obtain training if you are not currently qualified
- Flexible around meeting the changing needs of home‑care clients
- Language skills desirable, including Greek, Arabic, Mandarin and Cantonese
