Coordinate a portfolio of Deal and Risk Management information systems projects inside one of Australia's largest energy trading businesses.

You’ll own end-to-end delivery across a suite of DRM systems projects, keeping planning, risk management, and reporting tight across business and technology teams. Day-to-day you’ll run Agile ceremonies, manage the Jira backlog, and prepare and facilitate Steering Committee meetings. It’s hands-on work that sits at the intersection of trading operations and IT delivery.

This is a 12-month contract based in Melbourne, with a minimum of three days per week in the office. The workplace is genuinely complex, energy trading moves fast and the systems that support it carry real commercial weight. You’ll need to get across both the functional and technical sides of what’s being built, not just track tasks from a distance.

The team operates in a mature delivery environment with established governance and Agile practices already in place. You’ll have real ownership of your portfolio from day one, running ceremonies, owning the backlog, and presenting directly to senior leadership. If you’ve worked in utilities, banking, or another trading environment before, you’ll find the context familiar quickly. If you haven’t, the domain knowledge is learnable,



but you’ll need strong fundamentals to get up to speed without a long runway.

What You’ll Do:

- - Manage end-to-end delivery of DRM information systems projects, including planning, risk tracking, and issue resolution.
- - Own the Jira backlog, produce regular reporting, and keep delivery status visible across the portfolio.
- - Facilitate Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and backlog refinement as Scrum Master.
- - Prepare and facilitate Steering Committee meetings, producing clear reporting for senior business and technology leaders.

What You’ll Need:

- - 5+ years of project management experience with formal methodology credentials (PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, or equivalent).
- - Strong Jira backlog management and reporting skills across concurrent projects.
- - Proven experience in change management and stakeholder engagement across both business and technology teams.
- - Background in energy trading, utilities, or banking is desirable but not required.
