Restaurant Manager – Coastal Far North Queensland

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Restaurant Manager to join a busy hospitality venue in Coastal Far North Queensland.

We are seeking a confident, hands-on leader with strong a la carte restaurant experience, excellent customer service skills, sound bar knowledge, and the ability to mentor and develop staff while maintaining high operational standards. This role suits a hospitality professional who enjoys being actively involved on the floor and leading by example in a fast-paced environment.

Located in one of Queensland's most unique coastal regions, the venue offers a diverse operation including a busy restaurant, public bar, gaming room, and detached bottleshop. Package

Casual Role – Hospitality Industry (General) Award Level 5

- $37.35 per hour Monday–Friday
- $44.82 per hour Saturday
- $52.29 per hour Sunday
- Accommodation & evening meal provided – $78 per week

About the Role

This is a genuine hands-on management position working across all aspects of restaurant operations. You will be responsible for ensuring smooth daily service, supporting and developing staff, and delivering outstanding guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities





- Day-to-day management of restaurant operations
- Leading service periods in a hands-on capacity
- Staff supervision, training, coaching and mentoring
- Counting and balancing tills
- Maintaining exceptional customer service standards
- Creating wine menus and developing SOPs
- Stock ordering, control and rotation
- Assisting across other departments as required
- Following operational directions from the General Manager

Skills & Experience Required

- Extensive experience in a la carte and/or bistro-style restaurants
- Previous experience in a Restaurant Manager or similar leadership role
- Strong barista skills
- Sound knowledge of bar operations
- Current Queensland RSA
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong organisational and time management abilities
- Ability to work autonomously and take initiative
- Positive, approachable and qualified attitude
- Creative problem-solving skills and adaptability

You will join an established team of approximately staff living and working onsite.
