About the Opportunity
As a Cleaner, you will play an significant role in ensuring our facilities are clean, safe and well-presented. Working independently and as part of a supportive team, you will undertake a variety of cleaning and maintenance duties across Shire-owned buildings and public spaces.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake cleaning duties in accordance with the cleaning schedule.
- Sweep, mop and clean floors, buildings and surrounding areas.
- Empty bins, vacuum carpets and maintain office spaces.
- Clean kitchens, wash dishes following meetings and remove cobwebs.
- Clean public BBQ facilities, hot plates and surrounding areas.
- Maintain cleanliness of gazebos, benches and associated infrastructure.
- Carry out window cleaning as required.
- Report damage,
maintenance issues or hazards identified during cleaning activities.
- Promote a positive image of the organisation through professional conduct and customer service.
- Comply with all workplace health and safety requirements and organisational policies.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have
- Previous cleaning experience and knowledge of cleaning products.
- The ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong time management and organisational skills.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- A positive, proactive and "can-do" attitude.
- A commitment to workplace health and safety.
- The physical capability to undertake manual cleaning tasks.
- A current C Class Driver's Licence.
- Access to a reliable vehicle.
- A current National Police Clearance
