Cor Cordis
Melbourne
We don't see insolvency as the inevitable outcome. We see it as the last resort — and the skills that manage one are often the same skills that can avoid it.
We're growing our Melbourne restructuring and insolvency team and hiring at Senior and Supervisor level. You'll be working live engagements from day one, not sitting on the sidelines of them.
The work
Depending on your level, you could be:
- Running the day-to-day of formal and informal insolvency appointments, from external administrations through to workouts
- Liaising directly with creditors, debtors and legal representatives to keep engagements moving and outcomes on track
- Analysing financial information to assess business viability and shape restructuring options
- Preparing statutory reports, forecasts and variance analysis that hold up to scrutiny from creditors and regulators
- Working alongside our Directors and Partners on complex matters, with real input into strategy rather than just execution
- Supervising and reviewing the work of junior team members, and helping develop their technical skills (Supervisor level)
Every appointment is a business at a critical moment. The work is about protecting value and finding the best path forward, not just processing a file.
The chance
Cor Cordis is intentionally mid-sized: big enough for complex, national work,
small enough that you'll work directly with Directors and Partners rather than get lost in a hierarchy. As our Melbourne practice grows, so do you. This is a structured track toward Manager and beyond.
What you'll bring
- A business or accounting degree (or equivalent); CA or CPA qualified, or working towards it
- Relevant experience as a Senior or Supervisor, in advisory, restructuring or insolvency
- ARITA qualification obtained or in progress is highly regarded, particularly at Supervisor level
- An assertive communicator, comfortable holding difficult conversations with creditors, debtors and other stakeholders under pressure
- Sound analytical and report-writing skills, with an eye for the detail that changes an outcome
- A collaborative team player who also takes ownership
Why Cor Cordis
We're an independent, intentionally mid-sized advisory and restructuring firm. Our approach is collaborative, not hierarchical, and we back that with real flexibility, 18 weeks' paid parental leave for primary carers, two weeks' bonus leave, and financial support for professional memberships and ongoing development.
You must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident to apply. Cor Cordis is committed to fostering an inclusive, diverse workplace and strongly encourages candidates of all backgrounds to apply.
