White Box is building a world where anyone who wants a job, can access one. To do this, we're on a mission to mainstream jobs-focused social enterprise.

- Build large-scale social enterprises from the ground up;
- Strengthen existing jobs-focused social enterprises to scale and grow; and
- Innovate by leading advocacy and systems change initiatives to grow the sector.
Since we started, we've helped enable over 1000 jobs, incubated four social enterprises, raised $52M in blended finance for job creation projects, and built a powerful coalition of partners across sectors. With an annual turnover of around $12m and a number of entities to manage, we achieve results by being agile, responsible and collaborative.
The role and what you will bring
We need someone who is skilled with numbers and works with heart. You love being busy, translating numbers to provide insightful snapshots of what's happening, and have a collaborative nature that relates well to many people from different walks of life.
Reporting into the CFO and overseeing the tasks of one Accountant, this is a newly created addition to support continued growth and exciting new projects. The role will work across multiple entities all aligned to the group’s purpose of furthering jobs-focused social enterprises. These include impact investment, real estate,
and a number of systems change projects.

The role is hybrid with a base with our community at Witton Barracks, Indooroopilly. The role is available at 0.8FTE, providing flexibility you might need for other things in life.
Key responsibilities
- Managing month-end processes and preparation of management reports, BAS and Super lodgements for multiple sub-entities.
- Collaborate across the various business units to add value through reporting and analysis.
- Assist in Payroll management.
- Oversee BAU accounting functions, providing coaching and assistance to the Accountant.
- Assist the CFO in budgeting, forecasting and audit activities as required.
- Be part of cross organisation external consulting project teams which include advisory and consulting for other social enterprises.
You will bring:
- CPA or CA certification preferred
- Proven experience in financial management or a related role
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and energetic work environment
