The Chance

Our client is seeking an ambitious Senior Associate or Special Counsel to join their elite Corporate Advisory team in Sydney.

In this role, you will work directly alongside a leading corporate partner, managing a premium portfolio of domestic and international corporate matters. This position offers an exceptional platform for a senior practitioner looking to lead major transactions, mentor junior lawyers, and actively contribute to strategic business development.

This is a genuine track opportunity for thehigh-performing practitioner.

Key Responsibilities

- Transaction Leadership: Leading complex public and private mergers and acquisitions (M&A;), equity capital markets (ECM) transactions, and corporate restructures.
- Strategic Advisory:



Providing high-level counsel on directors' statutory duties, corporate governance, and complex commercial frameworks to ASX-listed and large private boards.
- Client Management: Acting as the primary, trusted point of contact for key corporate clients and institutional stakeholders.
- Team Mentorship: Guiding, supervising, and developing the skills of junior and mid-level solicitors within the corporate team.

About You

- 5+ years Post Admission Experience (PAE) within a respected corporate practice at a mid or top-tier firm. Lawyers who are looking to return to private practice from in-house are encouraged to apply.
- Proven track record executing sophisticated M&A; transactions, capital raisings, or high-value corporate advisory work.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to navigate complex regulatory environments under tight timelines.
- Natural leadership qualities with a passion for mentoring younger lawyers and building meaningful client relationships.
